MMMYA exists to support adolescents and families navigating substance use, behavioral challenges, and breakdowns in trust that often leave families overwhelmed and unsure where to turn. Our work is grounded in accountability, structure, and compassionate support that meets families where they are without excusing harmful behavior or minimizing responsibility.
We believe real change happens when young people are challenged to grow, families are supported, and healing is paired with clear expectations and follow-through.
MMMYA is a Native and woman-owned nonprofit, founded and led by a Chickahominy tribal member. Our approach is shaped by lived experience, professional expertise, and a deep respect for family systems, healing, and responsibility.
MMMYA was brought to life by Jacy Patt, who has over 15 years of experience working with at-risk youth facing issues such as mental health struggles, addiction, behavioral challenges, and family dysfunction. As someone who was once a lost teenager herself, Jacy brings a unique understanding and a compassionate approach to her work. She recognizes that cookie-cutter solutions are not always effective and tailors each program to meet the unique needs of every child.
Jacy has dedicated her career to serving communities, partnering with school districts, sheriff departments, and community organizations to create impactful programs. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, but her greatest achievement is the trust and respect she has earned from the families and communities she serves. Jacy’s mission is simple: to reach one. In doing so, she has already reached many, with countless more to come.
Our organization is made up of a committed group of individuals who share Jacy’s dedication. Our team is well-equipped to provide the support and guidance needed to make a real difference in the lives of at-risk youth. Together, we use our collective knowledge to offer personalized care and deliver programs that truly change lives.
