Jacy is an outstanding substance abuse counselor and experienced student focused advocate. For over 6 years, Jacy ran several of our “on campus” student support groups. While on-site, Jacy made impactful connections with many of our most at-risk students and guided them towards a better way. I don’t know if my son would still be here if it weren’t for Jacy’s influence in his life. She was exactly what he needed during his biggest struggles.
While attending family support groups led by Jacy, I saw how authentic and passionate she is about her work and about the families reaching out to her for help. She talks openly about her own struggles, which gives the kids she interacts with the courage to speak openly about theirs. And with every child, regardless of how dire the circumstances may seem, she always sees hope.
As a mother, I have learned so much from Jacy about how to best support my son through his mental health struggles, what is helpful ,and what might be detrimental. In fact, I dedicated my latest book to her because of the powerful influence she’s had on our family and many others. I’m so grateful for her knowledge and her ability to connect with teens.

As a mother of two teens who received counseling from Jacy, I am super appreciative of the support and guidance Jacy provided. Both my daughter, 15, with substance abuse and my son, 14, with mental health benefited from working with Jacy. Jacy was very direct with the teens and worked well with the parents to advise on best actions to take to support our teens.

I cannot thank Jacy enough for the profound impact she has had not only had on me but my whole family. When we first began working with her, we were not only struggling to support our son through addiction, but also dealing with the emotional toll it took on our entire family. From the moment I met Jacy, I knew she was special. She made me feel understood, supported, and hopeful. She didn’t just focus on our son who was dealing with addiction, but she worked with all of us to understand the dynamics of addiction and how we could support our son in healthier, more constructive way. Her compassionate approach gave us a safe space to express our fears and frustrations, while also giving us the tools to rebuild trust and communication as a family. With her guidance, we were able to navigate some of the most difficult conversations we’ve ever had. Her support has been life-changing. Thanks to her, our son now has the tools and resources whenever he chooses the path to recovery. We will forever be grateful for the work Jacy has done with us. Her knowledge, patience, and genuine care have made a lasting impact on all of our lives, and we would highly recommend her to anyone facing similar challenges.

As a mother struggling with a child with addiction Jacy was heaven sent. Her honesty and perspective was refreshing and exactly what I needed. She helped me connect exactly what I was feeling to how I was behaving by helping me understand what I was going through. We had been to several mental health centers and my son’s condition never made sense to me. After talking to Jacy it was like suddenly everything made sense and I didn’t feel so alone or confused anymore. Her lessons and support are the reason why I now live a much happier life.

Success Stories
I was 14 years old when I first was first introduced to Jacy. At the time I was heavily addicted to substances. I was daily user of marijuana, alcohol, and prescription pills. My experience with Jacy was nothing short of life changing. I immediately felt welcomed, safe, and loved. Through Jacy my life has made a dramatic change for the better. Via her guidance I've been sober since April 7th 2018, and have remained sober to this day. Staying sober however is only one of the gifts brought forth in my life by Jacy. Today I truly live a life that I never thought possible at 14 years old. I've gone to college, kept a steady job, bought a car, mended relationships with family and friends, and live as a productive member of society. All of these things and more were only made possible through Jacy's guidance.

Jacy has helped me through hard times and taught me how to get through hard times the right way. She is always there for me and has helped my family as well. She runs a fun but structured group, teaching everyone something about themselves, whether they like it or not.
